Mounting the JETI Box Mini to the Graupner MX16s Transmitter

Last week I received the JETI Box Mini from RC-easy. Perfect timing after the modification of my MX16s with the JETI 2.4GHz Transmitter.

So I mounted the JETI Box on my Transmitter and here are some pictures:

Now I had to find a nice place where I can mount the Box to the MX16s. I decided to place the Box directly in the middle of the transmitter.

Then I put the signal wires of the JETI Box through the hole

Modification of Graupner MX16s to JETI System (35 MHz – 2,4GHz switchable)

Some weeks ago I decided to buy a new remote control for my Mikrokopter(s). I took the standard model (MX16s from Graupner) which is recommended for Mikrokopter pilots.

At the same time I had to think about 2.4 GHz remote control – But I would like to have the choice between the two frequency bands (35 MHz and 2.4 GHz) so I modified the MX16s 35 MHz remote control with the JETI System to have the ability to switch between 2.4 GHz and 35 MHz at any time.

So I can use 35 MHz for FPV flights and 2.4 GHz for “normal” training or fun flying. (Maybe I will buy a 5.8 GHz video set in future, but that is not a requirement in the moment.)

iPhone 4 – zerschnippel deine SIM Karte

Vor einer Woche war es soweit, endlich ist das Paket von der Insel aus England angekommen ;)

Natürlich konnte ich es nicht mehr erwarten das neue Spielzeug in Betrieb zu nehmen, doch da war noch das “kleine” Problem mit der SIM Karte welches noch gelöst werden musste, da das iPhone 4 (wie auch das iPad in der 3G Version) nur mit einer MicroSIM funktionieren. Ist schon interessant, wie ein einziger Hersteller von Smartphones eine ganze Mobilfunkindustrie dazu zwingt MicroSIMs anzubieten.

Da ich aber viel zu ungeduldig bin, habe ich das Experiment zerschnippel deine SIM Karte gewagt.

Um mich warm zu machen habe ich zuerst an einer alten A1 SIM, die noch rumlag, genau nach Anleitung rumgeschnitten

Rein ins iPhone und schon war die Pinabfrage da – funktioniert! Yeah!
